Spiral Path Bodywork utilizes the following policies to establish a safe container for healing, and ensure that both client and therapist are taken care of.

Cancellation and Late Arrival Policy

  • There is no charge for cancelling an appointment more than 24 hours in advance.

  • Cancelling an appointment within 24 hours of the appointment will result in the client being charged the full cost of service. Client will not be charged if they can reschedule within a week of the cancelled appointment. An exception can also be made once for emergency situations (sickness, family emergency). No-shows will be charged the full cost of service.

  • If the client is late for their appointment the service may be shortened. If the therapist is late, the client will receive the full length of service.

  • Frequent cancellations or missed appointments may result in the client being referred out to another practitioner.

Pricing

Prices are firm and sliding scale is not available at this time. If you'd like to be made aware of lower cost offerings if/when they become available, please email elizabeth@spiralpathbodywork.com.

Right to Refuse Service

  • The therapist reserves the right to end or refuse any appointments that compromise the integrity and safety of the therapist or client.

  • The therapist reserves the right to refuse appointments or terminate treatment sessions for the following reasons: conditions or pathologies are present for which massage is not appropriate, the client's need is outside of the therapist’s scope of practice or skill set, lewd conduct, or intoxication of any kind.

  • Sometimes the client and therapist are not a good therapeutic fit. In these cases the therapist will refer the client to a more appropriate practitioner.

Covid-19 Policy

  • Clients are not required to mask at this time, however, this policy may change as Covid-19 numbers fluctuate. If you have a cold or cough the therapist may request that you mask while face up during session.

  • Please refrain from booking an appointment within 5-7 days of travel, crowded events, or other high exposure gatherings. If you have questions about this or are immunocompromised and need additional accommodations, please email elizabeth@spiralpathbodywork.com.

Additional Policies

  • All client information, including health history, personal details, and session notes, will be kept confidential and stored securely in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Any sharing of client information will only occur with the explicit consent of the client or as required by law.

  • The therapist will stay within their scope of practice and will follow professional ethical standards. The therapist is available for feedback if the client believes this has not been the case.

  • The therapist will adhere to strict hygiene standards, including regular hand washing and sanitization of equipment and surfaces. The therapist will either mask or cancel appointments in the case of illness or injury.

  • Massage can be therapeutic and reparative, but it is not a replacement for therapy. The therapist will not engage in verbal processing of emotional material and will refer the client to a qualified clinician if necessary.
